You can say you knew them when. Southeast Missouri State University students from the voice for musical theater III class will perform at 7 p.m. Sunday in the Shuck Recital Hall. The free recital allows students to put to work skills they've learned through the semester. "This recital format is especially enjoyable for the audience because it gives them the opportunity to watch and hear the performers up close and personal," said Judith Farris, the Department of Theatre and Dance's Artist in Residence and vocal director. "There is no help from scenery or costumes. Movement is at a minimum. The students have only their voices and the lyrics to convey their emotions to the audience." Most of the students are training for a career in musical theater and will soon head out into the professional world.
