High school roundup: Perryville boys basketball team suffocates Farmington

Bryce Weibrecht scored 17 points to lead the Perryville boys basketball team past visiting Farmington 63-47 on Saturday.

The Pirates outscored the Knights 25-9 in the second quarter to enjoy a 14-point lead at halftime.

Alex Robinson and Colby Brown both added 13 points for Perryville, which improved to 5-1.

Kyleigh Troxel made two state cuts in Jackson's ninth-place finish.

Troxel placed second in both the 200 individual medley and 500 freestyle in state-qualifying times.

Central's Maddie Siefert qualified for the state meet with her second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke.

Claire Gillard finished fifth in diving for the Indians by scoring 324.45 points in 11 dives. Central's Chleo LeGrand was sixth with 324.20.
