Jackson hit a basket in the final minute of regulation to force overtime, but unbeaten Vianney outscored the Indians by 10 points in the extra session to post a 70-60 victory Thursday night in boys high school basketball action.

Senior guard Caleb Newcomer, who had a team-high 19 points, pulled Jackson (5-2) even with a basket with about 20 seconds left in the fourth quarter. Vianney held the ball for the remainder of regulation but misfired at the buzzer.

The Griffins (7-0) held a 13-3 scoring edge in the four-minute overtime.

Senior center John Meyer added 16 points for Jackson, while sophomore Josh Daume had 11 points.
