Etta Marie McLean, 93, of Fredericktown, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Chateau Girardeau Gardens Care Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Nov. 21, 1918, in Bollinger County, daughter of George and Elsie Mills Rolens. She was united in marriage to C.R. "Jim" McLean in 1934 at Farmington, Mo. He preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1997...

Etta Marie McLean, 93, of Fredericktown, Mo., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at Chateau Girardeau Gardens Care Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Nov. 21, 1918, in Bollinger County, daughter of George and Elsie Mills Rolens. She was united in marriage to C.R. "Jim" McLean in 1934 at Farmington, Mo. He preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1997.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Bud and Bill Rolens; a sister, Lucille Sieb; and an infant son, Ronnie McLean.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Becky McLean of Cape Girardeau, Charlie and Chandra McLean of Munford, Tenn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Martha and James Venable of Phoenix; a sister, Maxine Seabaugh of Fredericktown; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

Etta worked in the packing department at Brown Shoe Co. in Fredericktown. She enjoyed sewing, making beaded bracelets, and in her younger days enjoyed fishing with her family. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Fredericktown.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Marcus Memorial Cemetery in Fredericktown.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Chateau Girardeau Gardens Care Center.
