Best bet: Early Mardi Gras events

Although Mardi Gras falls on Feb. 21, this year, several local venues will give Southeast Missourians the opportunity to start the celebration early. Today, The Venue Event Center will have its third annual Mardi Gras Bash and Daytimer Lounge will get in the spirit with music by Renegade Sound System.
