PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Glenn R. Layton, 60, of Perryville died Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Perry Oaks Manor in Perryville.

He was born Aug. 2, 1951, in Perryville, son of Lloyd Simon and Eleanor Moonier Layton. He was formerly married to Brenda Renaud Winkler.

Other survivors include a daughter, Jessica (Steven) Caddell of Perryville; a son, Cory Layton of St. Louis; two brothers, Robert (Marcie) Layton of St. Louis and Bill Layton of Perryville; three sisters, Joan (Flavian) Jokerst of Zell, Mo., Sharon (Terry) Pingel and Jackie (Doug) Estes, both of Perryville; and three grandchildren, Maddison Walker, Aleah Cadell and Owen Cadell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Velda Barks.

He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, a concrete prefab manufacturer for Rose Con in Scott City, a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, a former member of the American Legion Post 133 and VFW Post 4282.

Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Funeral Home. A Catholic wake will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday, and the rosary will be prayed at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Milton Ryan C.M. officiating.

Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Perryville with military graveside service provided by the VFW and Delta Team.

Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or Family Use.

Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville provided the arrangements.
