MY friend and I were enjoying a wonderful meal and music at a local restaurant recently. As we started to leave and pick up our ticket, our waitress informed us that our bill had been taken care of. We were astonished and overwhelmed and proceeded to ask her who did this. ...Kind ladies
MY friend and I were enjoying a wonderful meal and music at a local restaurant recently. As we started to leave and pick up our ticket, our waitress informed us that our bill had been taken care of. We were astonished and overwhelmed and proceeded to ask her who did this. She pointed out two young ladies close to our table. We walked over to them to express our appreciation for such a wonderful gesture, and they said we just looked so happy and we made their day, as they did ours. God bless the young ladies who are studying to be LPNs.
Save post offices
I have a solution for saving the post offices. 1) Stop paying your bills online. 2) Write letters and send cards instead of using the Internet to communicate. Stop being encouraged by numerous publications to pay by credit cards. Start using the postal service. Technology can make more conventional means of doing things obsolete.

Foreign oil
HERE we go again with high gas prices. This is no surprise as long as the Republicans block every alternative energy incentive program Obama asks for. At least we will have the control. We need to get away from foreign oil, as costly as it may be. We will save trillions in the long run. I am afraid this will turn political and the blame game will go on and the American citizens will suffer.
Catching bin Laden
THIS is in response to the caller who stated President Bush didn't think it was important to catch Osama bin Laden. This person is misinformed. President Clinton was the one who didn't think bin Laden was a serious threat, and the only reason that Obama's administration was able to find him was because of all the policies and strategic plans and intelligence that President Bush has already put in place before Obama took office. The only good thing Obama has done since he was elected president was to award Stan Musial the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
