Terry Lee Simpkins, 66, of Sahuarita, Ariz., died Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012.

He was born Feb. 14, 1946, in Illmo, to Lloyd and Mary Kern Simpkins. He was a 1964 graduate of Illmo-Scott City High School.

Terry was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was retired from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed golfing in his retirement years.

Terry is survived by Linda, his wife of 45 years; three daughters, Melanie and Shelly of Sahuarita, Sandy of Phoenix; a brother, Jerry Ray (Maureen) Simpkins of Scott City; a sister-in-law, Mary Jo Simpkins of Black Canyon City, Ariz.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Boyd Gale.

Terry was a kind man, a great father, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service was held March 10 in Sahuarita.
