Daisy Reezoff Painter, 89, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the Lutheran Home. She was born July 14, 1922, to Atanas K. and Grozda Turpenoff Reezoff. Daisy had lived in Granite City, Ill. She was a retired supervisor at the U.S. Government Accounting Office. She was a board member and Sunday school teacher at her beloved Holy Trinity Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church in Madison, Ill. Daisy Reezoff Painter, 89, passed away Thursday, March 15, 2012, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born July 14, 1922, to Atanas K. and Grozda Turpenoff Reezoff.

Daisy had lived in Granite City, Ill. She was a retired supervisor at the U.S. Government Accounting Office. She was a board member and Sunday school teacher at her beloved Holy Trinity Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church in Madison, Ill. She was a member of Granite City Elkettes and the Red Hat Ladies of Granite City.

She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed supporting many organizations and charities. Daisy will be especially remembered for the love and special times she spent with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Elizabeth R. Yankoff (Pete), Sophia R. Wallgren (Edward), Mary R. Vasil (Nick); a niece, Patricia G. Yankoff; and her son, Fred W. Painter.

Survivors include the following niece and nephews, Mary Ellen Joyner (Sage) of Towanda, Kan., Nick Vasil of Gary, Ind., Peter Vasil (Pat) of Carmel, Ind., Tom Wallgren of Cape Girardeau, Edward Wallgren of San Francisco; and many loving great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Davis Funeral Home, 2060 Cleveland Blvd., Granite City.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Bulgarian Eastern Orthodox Church, 1300 Grand Ave., Madison. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Trinity BEO Church, 1300 Grand Ave., Madison, IL 62060.
