A Jackson man accused of murder in connection with a December fatal stabbing will now be in court in another county.
On Monday a change of venue to Franklin County was granted to Ryan Harkey, who is charged with stabbing Jerry Conrad to death outside a downtown Cape Girardeau bar.
Harkey pleaded not guilty to the second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges against him in February. Harkey's attorney, Art Margulis, has said the evidence against his client indicates that Harkey had acted in self-defense.
