All the scores from Monday that were reported to the Southeast Missourian.

The St. Vincent girls soccer team opened its season with a 4-1 victory at Central on Monday.

Holly Blanford, Kayla Seabaugh, Storm French and Abby Lappe all scored in the second half for the Indians.

St. Vincent, the Class 1 state runner-up last season, outshot Central 22-3.

Brooke Evans scored a late goal for the Tigers.

Katie Mattingly stopped two shots to earn the win for the Indians, who will play the Tigers again Thursday in the Notre Dame tournament.

BASEBALL

Chaffee 10, Advance 0

Cody Payne homered and drove in three runs in the Red Devils' road win.

Jared Walker knocked in two runs for the victors.

Alex Davie struck out eight over four innings on the mound and went 4 for 4 at the plate for Chaffee, which returns to action Wednesday when it hosts Central.

Ryan Moses struck out five but took the loss for the Hornets.

The Crusaders rallied for four runs in the sixth and two in the seventh to post the road win.

Luke LeGrand drove in two runs for Saxony Lutheran.

Trent Steffens earned the win in relief. He struck out three and walked three over 3 1/3 innings. He also went 2 for 2 at the plate.

Trent Elder coaxed three walks, while Kevin Mattingly, Mark Kutz and Derek Unterreiner all drove in one run for St. Vincent.
