BLOOMFIELD, Mo. -- A Vanduser, Mo., man is in jail following an alleged kidnapping in Advance, Mo.
Charlie Dale Reynolds, 34, has been charged with felony kidnapping, felony first-degree burglary and misdemeanor third-degree domestic assault.
According to a probable-cause affidavit, Sunday afternoon, a man invited a woman into his apartment, and Reynolds forced his way in as the woman entered. The man was able to get out of the residence and call police as Reynolds forced the woman into his car and drove away.
Police were able to find the woman at Reynolds' residence, where she told them she was nine-weeks pregnant with Reynolds' child and had tried to leave him several times since they began dating in January. She also said Reynolds had slapped her and wouldn't let her answer the door when police arrived at the residence.
Reynolds was placed under arrest, and officers had to use a stun gun on him when he became combative in the patrol car.
Reynolds is being held in the Stoddard County Jail on a $150,000 cash-only bond, and will appear for arraignment Thursday.
