Baseball Cape Legion tryouts: Tryouts for the Cape Girardeau American Legion baseball teams will take place April 15 at Capaha Field. Cape Shrine Club tournament: The Cape Shrine Club's 17th annual golf tournament will take place May 18 at Bent Creek Golf Course. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to noon, and the four-person scramble will start with a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Cost: $85 per person. Info: Eddie Schreiner, 243-5503.

Capahas Auction: The annual Plaza Tire Capahas auction will be Saturday at the American Legion Hall on Thomas Drive in Cape Girardeau. Doors open at 9 a.m., with the auction beginning at 9:30 a.m. A wide variety of items will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Capahas, among the nation's oldest amateur baseball teams. Tennis

Youth play day: A tennis play day for boys and girls ages 10 and younger will be held April 7 at Class Act Family Fitness in Jackson. The event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Cost: $10. Info: Donna Ryan, 332-1614.
