All the local high school events reported Friday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Bell City baseball team scored nine runs over the first three innings on its way to a 13-3 victory over Puxico in five innings Friday.

Aaron Smith and Nolan Schaefer both went 2 for 4 for the Cubs (2-0).

Josh Overbey was the winning pitcher and had six strikeouts.

Bell City travels to Woodland on Monday.
