PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Roy Lee Garris, 64, of Perryville died Thursday, March 29, 2012, at his home.

He was born Feb. 4, 1948, in St. Louis, son of Roy and Irene Vessels Garris. He and Barbara Ann Colin were married Aug. 12, 1970, at Perryville.

Roy worked in the maintenance department for the Perry County School District 30 years. He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Perryville.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Ann Garris; a daughter, Shannon (Keith) Tarrillion; a son, Donovan Garris; a sister, Georgia Hawthorne, all of Perryville; six grandchildren, Evan and Emilie Tarrillion, Logun, Jaiden, Adrian and Dreyton Garris, all of Perryville; three nieces, Dawn (Bill) Difani and Heather Hawthorne of Perryville, Bridget Deckard of Arnold, Mo.; and his four-legged furry friends, Rocky, Spike and Alfie.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Miller Family Funeral Home.

Service will be provided by Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 5:30 Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
