Betty Yvonne Riley, 76, of Scott City died Friday, March 30, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Feb. 20, 1936, in Cape Girardeau, to Robert and Maude Beckett Diamond. She married Freddie Joe Riley on Oct. 22, 1962, in Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death June 27, 2003.

Betty did janitorial work for Drury Industries. She was of the Catholic faith.

She is survived by three sons, Blair Brown of Colorado Springs, Colo., Pete Riley of Scott City, Danny Riley of Jackson; a daughter, Brenda Brown of Jackson; two brothers, Buddy Diamond of Cape Girardeau, Billy Wayne Van Troba of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two sisters, Georgia Wren of Cape Girardeau, Emma Burton of Scott City; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Brian Brown; and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Memorial Cemetery.
