The Jackson boys and girls swept Saturday's Perryville Invitational track and field meet.

The girls scored 132 points to claim their title. The boys finished 85 points ahead of their nearest competitor with a score of 206.

The Jackson boys posted wins in 10 events, including the 200 and 400 relays, while the girls racked up four wins.

Perryville's Morgan Baer won the girls triple jump, and Saxony Lutheran's Jeremy Engelhart picked up and individual win in the boys 110 hurdles.

The Central boys placed second at the seven-team event hosted by Marshall County High School in Benton, Ken.

Chleo LeGrand won the pole vault for the girls team, which finished fifth.

Central's Billy Leighton won the boys 800-meter race and was second in the 1,600.

Chris Martin won the triple jump, while Meshach Little won the discus throw.

Cody Payne got the win on the mound for the Red Devils. He also went 2 for 3 at the plate.

Alex Crowe and Alex Davie both doubled for Chaffee, which improved to 6-1 on the season.

Pinch hitter Nathan Elfrink singled home the winning run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Crusaders the victory at the Saxony Showdown.

Ethan Mirly got the complete-game win for Saxony. He gave up four run on five hits while striking out eight and walking five.

Madeline Rosenquist scored the Bulldogs' lone goal on a play assisted by Taylor Rinda.
