Southbound Interstate 55 in Ste. Genevieve, Perry and Cape Girardeau counties will be reduced to one lane with a 20-foot width restriction beginning Monday as contractor crews prepare the shoulder for a new guard cable. This section of highway is from Route J/N at Ozora, Mo., to Route E at Oak Ridge. Weather permitting, the work will be done from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily Monday through May 7.
