Canedy Sign & Graphics recently announced that Scott Boyer has been appointed as a regional sales consultant for the company. He has 15 years of account management experience. Boyer will serve Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois.
Susan Matthews of Cape Girardeau was recently nominated for the University of Missouri Nursing Alumni Organization's Registered Nurse-Bachelor of Science in Nursing Student Award for Overall Excellence from the MU Sinclair School of Nursing. The award recognizes the potential for clinical proficiency, academic excellence and professional commitment. Matthews is a student in the registered nurse degree program, an online bachelor of science in nursing program for nurses with an associate degree or diploma in nursing. A 1977 graduate of Notre Dame Regional High School, she works as a staff nurse in the Infusion Center at Saint Francis Medical Center. Matthews is one of two students nominated for the award. The award recipient will be announced April 27 at the school's 22nd annual banquet and awards ceremony.
Bollinger County native and Southeast Missouri State University graduate Tim Tallent was recently honored as the Missouri Department of Conservation's distinguished Missouri Outstanding Conservation Agent of the Year.
Realty Executives of Cape County has announced its newest brokers: Donna McDonald, Seymour Chilton, Carol McGuire, Kathi Fish, Ken Kiefer, Karen Lewis and Becky Buehler. In order to become a licensed broker they completed a 48-hour broker education course and passed the broker licensing examination.
Jan McClanahan of Realty Executives of Cape County received the Council of Residential Specialists of the Year Award. In order to receive the award, McClanahan displayed exceptional dedication to her Council of Residential Specialists chapter in Missouri, gave her time and resources to the community and is a successful real estate agent. Winners also must have been members of the local board or state association for more than five years.
ERA Cape Realty recently announced the addition of Barbara Travers to its residential management team of real estate sales professionals serving consumers in the Cape Girardeau area. Travers has 30 years' experience as an award-winning broker-owner and broker manager in the area. She has served as treasurer, secretary, vice president and president of the Cape Girardeau Board of Realtors and as a leader in her previous franchise's Regional Broker Council including representing Midwest brokers from five states in an advisory capacity on the national level. She has received extensive training in residential sales, commercial/investment sales and office management. She is a graduate of several management programs and has earned the certified residential broker designation and the e-Pro certification.
