Jackson Senior Babe Ruth tryouts: Tryouts for the Jackson Senior Babe Ruth baseball team, for players ages 16 to 18, will take place at 1 p.m. Sunday at Saxony Lutheran High School. The rain date is April 28. Info: Tracy Wyatt, 833-6649.

Camps

Southeast camps: Southeast Missouri State will hold a variety of sports camps beginning in June. Camps offered will be for baseball, men's and women's basketball, football, gymnastics, soccer, softball and volleyball. All the camp information can be found on the Southeast athletics department website at gosoutheast.com.

Redhawks spring tournament: The 29th annual Kohlfeld Companies Redhawks spring golf tournament will take place May 7 at Cape Girardeau Country Club. The tournament, which is in honor of Southeast Missouri State Booster Club co-founder Charlie Brune, is an 18-hole, four-person scramble. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m., with tee time at 12:30 p.m. Cost: $100 per person, which includes a cart. Info: Barb Kinsey, 651-21005 or bkinsey@semo.edu

Missouri Veterans Home tournament: The Missouri Veterans Home's 16th annual golf tournament will take place June 1 at Bent Creek Golf Course. Tennis

Youth play day: A tennis play day for boys and girls ages 10 and younger will be held May 5 at the Southeast Missouri State tennis courts. The event will run from 10 a.m. to noon. Cost: $5. Info or to register: Donna Ryan, 332-1614.

Free clinic: The annual CATA free tennis clinic will be held May 12 at the Southeast Missouri State tennis courts. Players ages 5 to 11 will go from 1 to 2:30 p.m., while players ages 12 to 18 will go from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Info or to register: Donna Ryan, 332-1614.
