ROXBORO, N.C. -- Shirley Jean Morgan, 78, of Roxboro died Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Duke University Hospital.

She was born June 2, 1933, in Cape Girardeau County, to Leo A. and Louise Wadlow Rasche.

Shirley's Christian faith was a constant source of strength.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Don E. Morgan; two daughters, Nancy Miller of Mount Pleasant, S.C., Patricia Summerlin of Goldsboro, N.C.; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Charles Rasche.

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
