THE FEDERAL BUDGET IS THE DOMINATING ISSUE IN AMERICAN POLITICS TODAY. HOW DO YOU PROPOSE TO TACKLE THE BUDGET DEFICIT?

Defund the EPA, end the Federal Dept of Ed, get out of the U.N., reform welfare and medicade. Cut congressional salaries and perks, adopt term limits. Develop our energy resources, release the private sector from out of control regulations. Cutting spending alone will not solve the debt crisis, restoring our jobs and manufacturing base is vital to tackling the budget deficit. We must reverse the bad policy the private sector has been dealing with.

BARRING A SUPREME COURT RULING OVERTURNING THE LAW, WOULD YOU SUPPORT STEPS TO REPEAL HEALTH CARE REFORMS?

I strongly support the repeal of Obamacare. This massive and I believe un-Constitutional plan will force Americans to buy a product. We must find ways to allow free market forces to be applied to Health Care costs to keep them competitive. As in most programs the government gets involved with, the costs skyrocket and our personal choices and freedoms are threatened.

WOULD YOU SUPPORT ANY TAX INCREASE TO HELP FIX THE BUDGET DEFICIT?

I do not support a tax increase to fix the budget deficit. This government refuses to address it's massive spending problem and continues to borrow and raise the debt limit. This is fiscal insanity. True cuts in spending must be made. We are not taxed to little, government spends too much. We must return to Constitutionally limited government.

NOW THAT THE WAR IN IRAQ IS OVER AND AFGHANISTAN IS WINDING DOWN, WHAT DO YOU SEE AS THE AMERICAN MILITARY'S ROLE IN TODAY'S WORLD?

We must always be the strongest military power on earth but the biggest threat to our military is our economic situation as well as Muslim extremists. How can we defend our Nation if we are bankrupt? I think we should stay out of the affairs of other nations as much as possible but if we must go to war, then Congress should declare war, NOT just the President as our Constitution states.

CLOSING REMARKS:

I support life from conception, Rep. Emerson has voted for taxpayer funded embryonic stem cell research. I support balancing the budget, Emerson voted to raise the debt limit in 2011. I am a Christian Conservative who will do all I can to get America back on track. More government is not the answer, less government is. We must get this government out of our lives, our businesses, our farms, and our pocket books.
