Agnes Bailey

Agnes Florine Bailey, 92, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at her home.

She was born Dec. 25, 1919, in Bald Knob, Ark., to Asa and Sarah Ann Riggins Roberts. She and Lewis W. "Dub" Bailey were married April 25, 1947, in White County, Ark. He died Feb. 6, 1995.

Agnes had worked for Safe-Way Store/Guthrie Bakery in Van Nuys, Calif. She was a member of the Bakery and Confectionary Union. She attended Bethel Assembly of God Church in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include two daughters, Jo-Anne Farless and Barbara J. Eilers of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Joseph Davis of the state of California; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to service time Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Phillip Roop officiating. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Shady Grove Cemetery in Bald Knob.
