Water question

May I leave water out for the deer?

Empty seats

I noticed these Barack Obama supporters are going on about how strong the economy is. I have one question for you: Have you watched the latest basketball games? Look at the audience; more than half the seats are empty -- unless you mean they built the seats just for a cosmetic purpose.

Food for thought

I am so disgusted with the city council's decision to ban deer feeding. This has put stress on many compassionate, law-abiding, tax-paying, nature-loving seniors. We need to fill our jails with these criminals? Will someone please explain how not feeding deer will not cause them to eat everything in sight? I suppose their hunger will just go away.

Political price

We've seen that Obama does have a price and it looks like from his turning to support the gay/lesbian marriage that it earned him more than a million dollars immediately. Or maybe it happened just a shade before he announced his change. I wouldn't say he could be bought, but it sure doesn't hurt, does it?

Dryer sheets

To all the people in Cape that are complaining about deer being around their yard and damaging their trees and such: In this issue of the Reader's Digest, there are some tips in there about helpful things to do. One was to get some dryer sheets that you put in the clothes dryer to help your clothes, cut those sheets in one inch strips and tie them to your trees where you don't want deer rubbing on them or eating. This might be something people might be willing to try.

Crowell to D.C.

Jason Crowell: Why don't you go to Washington and start a filibuster? You seem pretty good at that if nothing else. Go on up there and see how far you get.

Police driving

With my own eyes at 9:15 a.m. during rush hour Thursday morning, May 10 we observed a clearly and boldly marked Columbia, Mo., police squad car license number 1128 driven by a uniformed officer northbound on Mount Auburn Avenue from William Street to Kingshighway consistently exceeding the speed limit by 20 or more miles per hour. He was going up and down the hills merrily along chatting on this cellphone without any siren or warning lights alerting other drivers or pedestrians of his high-speed approach. He operated his vehicle for miles with an overwhelming, willful and inattentive lack of care and wanton disregard for the safety of innocent lives and the well being of others.
