Cape man hospitalized after being stabbed

One man was hospitalized Sunday with multiple stab wounds after an incident in south Cape Girardeau early Sunday afternoon.

About 1 p.m., police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 600 block of South Henderson Avenue where they found a 20-year-old man lying in the street with wounds to his back and a leg, officials said.

An ambulance transported the unidentified man to a Cape Girardeau hospital with multiple superficial wounds, police said.

The incident remained under investigation Sunday afternoon.
