U.S. Rep. Jo Ann Emerson plans to tour areas of Scott County on Monday that were damaged by last week's tornado.

Emerson will accompany Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter on the tour, according to a news release from her office.

The National Weather Service-confirmed EF-2 tornado and downburst that hit Diehlstadt, Mo., during storms last Monday night killed three when winds tore apart a mobile home. Around 50 structures in the town were also damaged.

Emerson said in the release that she will support requests for storm recovery assistance.

The tour is scheduled to depart from the Scott County Courthouse in Benton, Mo., at 9 a.m. Monday.
