The Scott County Junior Legion baseball team used a six-run seventh inning to win 8-7 and salvage a split of its home doubleheader against Perryville on Thursday.

Dustin Gebhardt's two-run double capped the outburst and made a winner of relief pitcher Zane Eggimann.

Perryville had won the opener in a 16-2 rout.

Eggimann allowed four hits over the final four innings of the nightcap. He allowed two runs and four hits, struck out four and walked five.

Chance Tenkhoff, Ryan Lohmann and Eggimann all had two hits for Scott County (5-7). Both of Lohmann's hits were doubles. Tenkhoff and Trevor Job both had two RBIs.

Zach Carlyle took the loss in the opening game for Scott County, which saw its pitchers combine for 16 walks.
