Steffens fires ace at Kimbeland

Wayne Steffens of Cape Girardeau carded his third career hole-in-one Friday at Kimbeland Country Club.

Steffens used a 6-iron to ace No. 12, a par 3 playing 150 yards. Clint Ruppel, Ray Moore and Gene Garrison witnessed the shot.

Burnett, Cook team for win

Bob Burnett and Lachelle Cook joined forces to win the SEMO Horseshoe Association's 15-team tournament at the Leopold Knights of Columbus.

The team of Edgar Stoverink and Tracy Deck was second, while Dale Burger and Ron LeGrand were third.

The next tournament is scheduled for Wednesday at the Oran Knights of Columbus.
