Massa, Morrow team for win

Mike Massa and Dawn Morrow finished in first place at the SEMO Horseshoe Association's 33-team tournament July 4 at the Oran Knights of Columbus.

Kurt Prindle and Lachelle Cook took second, while Lester Powell and Ken Davie were third.

Virgil Schreckenberg and Cook joined forces to win the 12-team tournament at the Backyard Club.

Glen Backfisch and Carolyn Schreckenberg finished second, while Roy Tindell and Jee Brown were third.

Bob Burnett and Cook won the 18-team tournament Sunday at the Oran Knights of Columbus.

Beaver Glastetter and Terrie Rose grabbed second, while Mike DaVault and Sally LeGrand took third.

The next tournament is scheduled for Saturday at the New Hamburg Picnic.

Howard captures medalist honors

Vickie Howard won A flight medalist honors at the Chip-A-Ways weekly golf outing.

Dottie Gill had the lowest putts, while Carolyn Blechle and Waunite Van Dyke had the play of the day.

Deanna Peterman, Lil Angle, Sharon Dow and Linda Williams won B flight at the Egyptian Country Club's tournament.

Morris takes first place

Kathy Morris captured medalist honors and first place at the Cape Girardeau Country Club's Women's Golf Association's weekly outing.

Luanne Kiefner and Janet White tied for second place.
