Candidate for State Representative District #146

HOW WOULD YOU WORK TO ENSURE ECONOMIC GROWTH CONTINUES IN JACKSON AND THROUGHOUT YOUR DISTRICT?

Ensure that our technology is up to date and on the same level as the rest of the state. Establish vocational and technlogical training centers to meet the needs of todays workforce. Reduce as many as possible the demands and restrictions on industry and small business in the form of rules, regulations, and taxes imposed by the government.

HAS THE DREAM INITIATIVE HELPED DEVELOPMENT IN UPTOWN JACKSON?

Aesthetically it has helped the Jackson Uptown Area.

HOW DO WE BALANCE THE BUDGET: CUT PROGRAMS, RAISE TAXES AND OTHER REVENUE, OR BOTH?

All programs should be evaluated based upon their cost and effectiveness. Where possible departments should be combined to prevent duplication of serveces or provide better services. More taxes is not the answer to a balanced budget. Putting people to work who will contribute to the current tax code will help balance the budget.

CLOSING REMARKS:

I am running for State Representative because I am a lifelong member of this community who wants to use my talents and experiences to better your lives. I will stand up for the people of the 146th district, ask the tough questions and demand answers (how will this make our lives better). I will not get on the bus for the ride. I will demand to know where the bus is going and why.
