The first two workshops will be designed for new users of e-books. The basics of e-readers, from turning devices on, adjusting settings and opening a book to read will be covered. These sessions are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 28.

A third session, to be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 30, will be targeted toward more experienced users of e-readers who want to learn about more advanced models of e-readers, or who want to make the change from one e-reader brand to another.

Each session will be limited to 18 participants. Sessions will be conducted by Ron Eifert, assistant director and technology coordinator for the library. Eifert is recognized as an e-reader trainer by the Missouri State Library.
