Laura Martin

Laura L. Martin, 48, of Norfolk, Neb., formerly of Jackson, passed away Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

She was born Feb. 23, 1964, daughter of John W. and Carolyn Allstun Sarff. She and Al Martin were married Sept. 9, 1987.

She graduated with honors from Jackson High School in 1982, and earned a bachelor of science degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University in 1987. Laura began her teaching career at Southeast Missouri Christian Academy in Sikeston, Mo. She was employed by Vishay in Norfolk as a visual inspector from 1990 to 1999.

Laura is survived by her loving husband, Al Martin of Norfolk; mother, Carolyn Sarff of Jackson; a sister, Dee Dee (Jamey) Dockins; and a nephew, Jonathan Dockins of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by her father; a niece, Callie Dockins; and her grandparents.

The funeral was held Aug. 15 at Resseguie Funeral Home in Madison, Neb.

Burial was Aug. 16 in Crown Hill Cemetery in Madison.
