The Notre Dame boys cross country team claimed its first top 10 finish at the annual Memphis Twilight Classic on Saturday.

The Bulldogs' top-five finishers all were among the top 100 in the field of 322 runners, placing Notre Dame ninth among the 41 teams.

Michael Nelson led Notre Dame with a time of 17 minutes, 27 seconds on the 3.1-mile course to place 29th. Jacob Meadors (34th, 17:33), Cole Ross (62nd, 17:58), Jacob Cieslewicz (92nd, 18:33) and Shaun Rellergert (93rd, 18:34) completed the team score.

The Notre Dame girls placed 17th among the 37 teams.

Breanna Conklin finished 30th in 20:46 to pace the Bulldogs. Ali Norder (55, 21:58), Elsie Anderson (104th, 22:50, Adilyn Mueller (153rd, 23:54) and Maddie Baumgart (159th, 24:03) completed the team score.
