Jeffery Cronenbold, 50, of Cape Girardeau was arrested Friday on drug and traffic charges, the Perry County Sheriff's Department said in a release Tuesday. "Cronenbold was stopped, and charged with a minor traffic violation" Perry County Sheriff Gary J. Schaaf said, "but things just got worse for him after that." Schaaf said in the release Cronenbold was found to be in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine with an approximate street value of $16,000. Cronenbold is charged with drug trafficking. The Missouri State Highway Patrol and SEMO Drug Task Force provided assistance.
