Sarah Losleben Willis has joined the Southeast Missouri State softball program as an assistant coach.

Willis will be involved with all aspects of the program, including infield, outfield and recruiting.

Willis was an assistant at Princeton University in 2011. She coached the pitchers, catchers, outfielders, handled recruiting and monitored players' academic progress and class schedules among other duties during her time with the Tigers.

Willis also held similar responsibilities as an assistant softball coach with the North Carolina Diamonds professional organization this past summer.

Before joining the coaching ranks, Willis pitched at Texas Tech from 2005 through 2008. She recorded 22 wins and 298 strikeouts in 113 appearances.

"I'm pleased that Sarah is joining our staff. As a former Division I pitcher, she will offer our pitching staff an experience perspective from the mound," Southeast coach Lana Richmond said in a release.
