Mark Anthony "Bay" Johnson, 52, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Southeast Hospital. He was born Oct. 3, 1959, in Hayti, Mo., to Venice Thomas and Katie Pearl Johnson. Mark Anthony "Bay" Johnson, 52, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at Southeast Hospital.

He was born Oct. 3, 1959, in Hayti, Mo., to Venice Thomas and Katie Pearl Johnson.

Bay enjoyed life to the fullest, especially the martial arts as he was a black belt in karate. He also enjoyed watching westerns and Bruce Lee movies.

Survivors include eight brothers, Arthur Gene Johnson, Scott Johnson, Kevin Johnson, Tarrvacus Johnson and Kinsey Johnson, all of Cape Girardeau, Venice Johnson of Decatur, Ala., Richard Smith of Cape Girardeau, Jimmie Thompson of Detroit; eight sisters, Angela Johnson, Wendy Johnson, Tiesha Johnson, Betty Johnson, all of Cape Girardeau, Bertha Johnson of Kennett, Mo., Rosie Mae Johnson of Chicago, Renee Johnson of Jackson, Everlene Falconer of St. Louis; a stepson, Noah Johnson of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Sarah Johnson of Cape Girardeau; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Larry Smith and Lonnie Johnson; and three sisters, Shakelia Johnson, Katherine Johnson and Zettie Adams.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with Scott Johnson and Byron Bonner officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Bay's family to help defray his funeral expenses.
