All the local high school events reported Thursday to the Southeast Missourian.

The Notre Dame softball team collected 15 hits Thursday on its way to a 9-4 win over visiting Jackson.

Brandi Glastetter went 4 for 4 as the Bulldogs improved to 9-3. Tiffany Wood went 3 for 4 and Liz Kight added two hits.

Nikki Peters notched the victory in the circle.

Jackson (3-4) had eight hits, led by Melanie Dockins with two.

Mashanda Reed had a home run and went 3 for 3 to help Central improve to 3-6 with a home victory.

Winning pitcher Kadie Orenstein fired a six-hitter. She had three strikeouts and three walks.

Orenstein helped her own cause with a double. Bailey Kratochvil added two hits for the Tigers.

Kelly remained undefeated with a road shutout.

Christy Brucker struck out nine, walked one and allowed four hits.

The Hawks (9-0) had 10 hits, led by Samantha Ratledge, Alexis Dock and Jade Rampley with two each.

Rampley drove in two runs. Ratledge and Dock both doubled.

Sutterfield had a triple, while Kaitlin McFerron added a double. Cierra Crites and Adrienne Eichhorn both had two hits.

Hailey Enderle was the winning pitcher.

Perryville suffered a six-inning home loss to powerhouse St. Pius.

The Pirates (4-8) had nine hits, led by Kelcie Fahnestock with two doubles. Macey Hall, Emma Nelson and Aleshia Reiss also had two hits apiece.

St. Pius banged out 16 hits.

BOYS SOCCER

Poplar Bluff 4, Central 3, OT

Nick Barnes had two goals and one assist, but the Tigers suffered an overtime loss at home.

Duncan McKinley added a goal for Central. Josh Moore recorded an assist.

Sikeston 1, Notre Dame 0

Sikeston scored with about 15 minutes left in the second half to beat visiting Notre Dame (4-2).

JV -- Notre Dame won 2-1.

Perryville 4, Hillsboro 0

Kyle Wood scored scored a pair of goals to lead the Pirates (4-2) to a home victory.

VOLLEYBALL

Jackson goes 0-3-1

Jackson lost three matches and tied one during pool play at the Oakville tournament.

The Indians (6-7-2) were defeated by Parkway South 25-18, 25-16, Oakville 25-13, 25-12 and Cor Jesu 25-17, 25-17. They split with Rosati-Kain 25-23, 23-25.

Hailey Mouser had six kills and Melinna Craft three aces against Parkway South.

Craft had three kills and four digs against Oakville, while Alexa Kelpe added four digs.

Craft had five kills and Sara Thompson three aces against Cor Jesu.

Craft recorded four kills against Rosati-Kain.

Perryville 25 25 De Soto 17 9

Perryville improved to 13-2 with a road sweep.

Leaders for the Pirates were Lauren Buxton with eight blocks, Libbi Schnurbusch with 12 digs and Kaitlyn Ellsworth with seven assists.

JV -- De Soto won 25-23, 14-25, 25-21.

GIRLS TENNIS

Jackson 8, Dexter

Jackson improved to 10-0 with a road shutout.

After sweeping the six singles matches and winning the first two doubles matches, the third doubles contest was rained out.

Jenny Powell had the Indians' lone shutout at No. 1 singles.
