Parking in parts of Cape Girardeau will be restricted for the Southeast Missouri State University Homecoming parade, the Cape Girardeau Police Department reported in a news release Tuesday. Beginning 2 a.m., on Oct 20, parking will be prohibited on the following streets:

  • Broadway, on both sides from North West End Boulevard to Main Street;
  • Main Street from Park Drive to William Street;
  • North West End Boulevard from Broadway to Parkview Drive;
  • East side of Perry Avenue from Broadway to Parkview Drive;
  • Bellevue Street, both sides in front of Houck Stadium
  • Houck Place, both sides.

Officers will place signs and other traffic control devices at each location. Vehicles parked after 2 a.m. Saturday will be towed. Parking will be restored on the listed streets immediately after the parade with the exception of Bellevue Street.
