CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Stella Irene Steger, 79, of Chaffee passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Commerce, Mo., to Ira Andrew and Edna Louise Saddler Sadler. She and Roy F. Steger Jr. were married Sept. 23, 1978...
CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Stella Irene Steger, 79, of Chaffee passed away Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Commerce, Mo., to Ira Andrew and Edna Louise Saddler Sadler. She and Roy F. Steger Jr. were married Sept. 23, 1978.
Stella was a member of Country CBers, American Legion Auxiliary Post 389, and VFW Auxiliary Post 3127, all in Chaffee.
Survivors include her husband, Roy Steger Jr. of Chaffee; two sons, Bobby (Anita) Schrum Sr. and Gary (Debbie) Schrum of Chaffee; three daughters, Sharon (Jerry) Ayers of Chaffee, Barbara (Rodney) Kirn of Jackson, Tina (John) Swinford of Chaffee; two brothers, Lee and Jackie Sadler of Chaffee; two sisters, Anna Mae Nanny and Janet Totty of Chaffee; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Schrum Sr., two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bob Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Union Park Cemetery.
