Is it just me or has anyone else noticed all of the ads, even the ones for children, have something to do with sex. There's too much sex in the ads. Also, I noticed on the billboards there's sex in those too. We're just going sex crazy.
Student spending
You say SEMO student spending goes increasingly toward technology. I beg to differ. Maybe, but sadly, even more SEMO student spending goes toward deferring the costs of stratospheric tuition increases.
SS benefits
Social Security recipients will get less than a 2 percent increase in their benefits next year to account for a rise in cost of living, according to an estimate published Tuesday. That's less than half the increase in benefits they received in 2012. That is a real big-hearted raise. Our Medicare and insurance is going to go up more than we will get. We don't get the same bump as the 1 percent does. That is partly because they are stockholders in most insurance, medical and health companies and their partners in Congress want all the money.
Helmet ordinance
To those who are demanding that moped and bicycle riders wear a helmet, you need to stop and think that maybe car or truck drivers and passengers need to wear a helmet also. How is a seat belt going to protect your head in a rollover accident? That helmet will do nothing to protect my internal injuries in a motorcycle, scooter or bicycle accident.
