COBDEN, Ill. -- Dottie Holcomb, 46, of Cobden passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at her home from a long hard battle with cancer.

Dottie was born Jan. 11, 1966, in Dixon, Ill., daughter of the Rev. Phillip Bruce and Marjorie Mixen. She and Kevin Holcomb were married April 7, 1984, and who she still loved at the time of her death.

She loved to be with and spoil her grandchildren, Tysen and Brooklynn Tripp. She was so looking forward to meeting her newest grandchild, Tinley Michele Holcomb, Jan. 20, 2013, and spoiling her too.

Dottie is survived by her beloved husband, Kevin; a daughter and son-in-law, Katrina Holcomb and Tyler Tripp; son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Taylor Simpson Holcomb; precious grandchildren, Tysen Edward and Brooklynn Harper Tripp; her loving parents, Phillip Bruce and Marjorie Mixen; two brothers, Phillip and Monte Mixen; a sister-in-law, Babette Holcomb; special and closest friends, Stacy and Ed Bennett and Judy Stegle family; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Betty Holcomb; grandparents; and other family members.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m., and noon to service time Sunday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna.

The funeral will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Eidson officiating. Interment will be in Casper Cemetery.
