WHAT ARE YOUR PRIORITIES FOR THE TREASURER'S OFFICE?

I was elected as Missouri State Treasurer in 2008 to face some of the toughest economic challenges in generations. Since day one, I committed to protecting taxpayers while increasing the accountability, transparency and efficiency of the State Treasurer's office. I believe Missouri must keep its promises, protect taxpayers from risk, and preserve its fiscal integrity.

As State Treasurer, I protected Missouri's AAA credit rating, securely managed our $4 billion state portfolio through a tough economic climate, and invested in education, small businesses and farms without any additional cost to the state. I was the only statewide elected official to earn an office-wide "Excellent" rating from the Republican State Auditor for office performance and accountability.

As your State Treasurer, I will continue to protect our financial future and serve as a strong fiscal steward for Missouri assets.
