The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

* Newton M. Gilland, 41, of Jackson, was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated and driving while revoked.

Arrests

* Morris E. Boyd, 26, 1323 Brenda Kay Court, Apt. E, was arrested on a Scott County warrant for nonsupport.

* A subject is in custody, pending formal charges for suspicion of stealing, possession of a controlled substance and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

* Samuel L. Cook, 21, of Jackson, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for receiving stolen property.

* Ashley M. Bauer, 25, 621 Bellevue St., No. 23, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for receiving stolen property.

Burglary

* Burglary and the theft of assorted DVDs were reported at 1213 Jefferson Ave.

* A purse was reported stolen at 1216 Bloomfield Road.

* A cellphone was reported stolen at 403 S. Sprigg St.

* AT&T, 3363 Gordonville Road, reported a cellphone stolen.

* A check was reported stolen.

* A PlayStation, Nintendo DS, games, money and credit cards were reported stolen at 3016 Themis St.

* A gun was reported stolen at 1305 Kenwood Drive.

* Money was reported stolen at 2852 Independence Street.

* Medication was reported stolen at 601 Boxwood Drive, No. 2.

* Attempted suicide was reported.

* Assist other agency was requested.

* Violation of an ex parte order and tampering with a witness was reported.
