All the local high school events reported Saturday to the Southeast Missourian.

Kaitlin Welter scored 14 points to lead the top-seeded Notre Dame to the title of the Queen of Hearts Tournament on Saturday at Villa Duchesne High School in suburban St. Louis.

Welter connected on four 3-pointers in the Bulldogs' 43-40 win over No. 3 Whitfield.

Annie Siebert added 10 points for Notre Dame (15-3). Shelby Beussink recorded 11 rebounds and Karsen Powers dished out five assists for the Bulldogs.

Notre Dame trailed 35-32 after three quarters but outscored Whitfield 11-5 over the final eight minutes.

Stephanie Anderson led with 20 points for the Warriors (12-7).

Seckman upended the Tigers in the third-place game of the Hillsboro Invitational Tournament.

Alayah Cooper-Johnson, who was named to the all-tournament team, paced Central (7-10) with 18 points, eight rebounds, five steals and four blocks.

Morgan Montgomery and Lacey Hutson each netted 14 points for the Jaguars (7-9).

Josie Long netted 21 points to lead the Cardinals to victory over East Prairie in the Coaches vs. Cancer Shootout at Charleston High School.

Kathlyn Cooper added 17 points for Woodland (14-4).

Kaitlyn Shands paced the Eagles with 11 points.
