I'm a resident of the United States and a taxpayer. I looked on the news and to my amazement we are giving millions of dollars to Egypt. This upsets me as a taxpaying member of the country. I wish Washington would get its priorities straight. We can't help anyone until we have our own priorities straight. I know I'm not the only one...

Foreign aid

Water park

I'm sure the caller is jesting about Farmington Park. I've never seen it, but Cape Girardeau's water park is very classy and let's keep it like that. The fact that it is crowded shows it gets all the business it needs.

Ruining country

I'm just wondering when all the guys in Congress, when they'll wake up and see the guy we have up there is trying to ruin us, and he's doing a good job. Wake up, people.

City truck

I had to come to nearly a complete stop to avoid hitting a city pickup truck that pulled out in front of me on North Kingshighway. I guess he was getting off from his coffee break because he held a cup of coffee as he pulled out. I know they have total disrespect for these vehicles. Is someone supervising the vehicles? If not, they should be.

RNC project

The RNC recently released the findings of the three-month project led by a group of veteran Republican strategists that proposed ways the party can improve its outreach to minorities, the primary election process, messaging, fundraising and its relationship with third-party groups. Best answer is to get out of politics for the sake of the American people.

Forgiveness

It's only right to forgive someone for their offenses. I like to be forgiven when I offend somebody.

Presidents and popes

I think they ought to choose a president like they do the pope. Secret ballots, no lobbying, no paybacks and no political gain. Not to mention the driving force: money.

Simplicity

Things are so complex today. Simplicity is elegance.
