ST. LOUIS -- A woman is in critical condition after she was slashed in the head with a box cutter by an apparent stranger.

Police say the 49-year-old woman was standing at a bus stop Monday night when a man approached and started randomly slashing at people.
The reason for the attack wasn't clear and police say they have no description of the attacker. It wasn't immediately clear if anyone else was hurt.
