Rosemary Masterson, 82, of Jackson passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the Monticello House in Jackson.
She was born Aug. 15, 1930, in Hornersville, Mo., daughter of Silas and Fay Bell Putman.
She and Joseph Masterson Jr. were married July 1, 1950, in Arkansas. He passed away March 31, 1989.
Rosemary was a member of Elk's Auxiliary of Jackson. She was a very loving and outspoken woman who loved spending time with her family.
Loving survivors include four children, Gale Masterson of Jackson, Mary Lynn Palmer of Cape Girardeau, Kim (Ray) Bierschwal of Cape Girardeau and Mark Masterson of Jackson; a stepson, Mike (Glenda) Masterson of Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, Robin Heatherly of St. Louis, Melisa O'Kelly of Whitewater, Jo Heather Pavone of Cape Girardeau, Dustin Masterson of Cape Girardeau and Rachel Bierschwal of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Jack Putman of California; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call from 5 p.m. until time of service Thursday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating.
