Yay! The deer are safe. Thanks to everyone who voted yes. We love the deer and consider them to be good luck.

They need to keep some of the casino money in a fund to help pay the cost of collision insurance after a deer-car-related accident. They also may need some to help trap the coyotes that are sure to come into town now that there will be an over abundance of deer. It sure is a shame to see all this good meat go to waste. They should have looked at how much meat the deer hunters had provided the food banks this past year at their expense.

Jackson library

Why do the Jackson Board of Aldermen get to decide for the patrons why it is best for the city library to close. The city taxes us to death and now no library. Why not cut back on high city salaries, the mayor and city administrator, or just eliminate them. The so-called community building will be a joke. A "reading room?" It's time for change in this city.
