Guy E. Borneman, 55, of Delta passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Oct. 20, 1957, in Cape Girardeau, to William Monroe and Novella Slinkard Borneman Sr. He and Regina Overbeck were married Jan. 24, 1981.

Guy was a petty officer third class in the United States Navy for four years, having served in the Persian Gulf where he was a boiler tech.

He worked at Southeast Hospital as a boiler operator since 1980. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau and VFW Post 3127 in Chaffee, Mo., and he was a lifetime member and volunteer board member of SEMO District Fair.

Survivors include his mother, Novella Howell of Chaffee, Mo.; wife, Regina of the home; a son, Justin (Natalee) Borneman of Delta; two daughters, DeeAnna Sikes and Stacy (special friend Myles Harper) Borneman of Delta; four grandchildren, Tyler and Trenton Sikes of Cape Girardeau and Wesley and Andrea Borneman of Delta; a sister, Karen (Bill) O'Connor of St. Charles, Mo.; and father and mother-in-law, Weldon and Lois Overbeck of Chaffee.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, William "Bill" Borneman Jr.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Tom Sullenger officiating, assisted by the Rev. Dan Chaney. Burial will be in McGuire Cemetery at Burfordville, with full military honors presented by Missouri Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Regina Borneman for funeral expenses.
