Mildred Wallrath

Mildred B. Wallrath, 87, of Jackson died Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 18, 1925, at Harrogate, Tenn., to Ira and Elsie Van Cleef Brooks.

She and Ferdinand M. Wallrath were married March 17, 1962.

Mildred was a member of the First Baptist Church in Jackson and taught Sunday school for several years.

She is survived by her husband of Jackson; a daughter, Millie (Don) Rapp of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; two grandchildren, Dustin Rapp of Fort Collins, Colo., and Lindsey Rapp of Falls Church, Va.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lawrence and Dale Brooks; and a sister, Dorothy Brooks Lamb.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson and from 9 a.m. to time of service Monday at the First Baptist Church in Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. John Ayers officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
